Gravity is powerful stuff. Even with a welded, galvanized internal steel frame, a swing gate will sag without diagonal support.
We use thin stainless steel cable on the inside of the gates to keep them straight and level.
Most vinyl gates can't use these cables because vinyl alone won't take the tension involved.
